Thanks for stopping by. I´m Holly, in case we haven´t met, and I´m happy to
have this opportunity to welcome you to our online community. Some of the most fabulous women
gather here to share their wisdom, and fill up on tips from yours truly. One of my greatest
passions is to promote the body, mind, and soul wellness of all women — from budding teen to
sage mother. I love inspiring and engaging in dynamic conversation, and getting to the heart
of what matters the most to all of us. So, feel free to comment or question — you have an open

something great happen every day.
Every Thanksgiving I take the opportunity, as many people do, to reflect on what I’m truly grateful for in my life.
Though I also do semi-daily gratitude lists throughout the year, this holiday ritual is different: It always produces an abundance of wonderful treasures that enrich my overall well-being.
Imagine my joy, then, when this tasty treat landed on my consciousness plate. It was brought to my attention by my new friend and “Writing Down Your Soul” author, Janet Conner. Thank you Janet! Read More »
For some, the word Thanksgiving sends shivers down the spine. Thoughts of distant relatives coming from near and far, falling asleep all over the living room after their pie, but well before clean-up as the parade repeats for the 3rd time in the background.
For others there are school plays to attend with children dressed as stuffing or feasts of jello and kid friendly finger food to help serve. But some have heavy hearts knowing their loved ones might not make it to the next Thanksgiving, but give thanks for having them right now.
I have received hand signed cards from companies that thanked me for being their customer and emails from friends appreciating our new found friendship (even if we have never met in person).
No matter who or what you are thankful for this year, be sure to pay it forward. By making it a daily habit I guarantee you the world will be a better place and you will feel better for it.
So hang your handprint turkeys proud and appreciate the little things everyday. And what they heck, sit on the couch and watch the parade…the dishes will wait!
If you tuned into Martha Stewart’s show last Thursday, you will have seen a very different slant on Thanksgiving.

The show also delighted viewers with yummy recipes from Jeremy Fox, executive chef at Ubuntu Restaurant and Yoga studio — a self-proclaimed vegetable restaurant. Read More »
Fashionistas and art lovers everywhere, the story of Coco Before Chanel comes to life in theaters this week. The Lifetime network produced a similar portrayal of Coco’s, or rather Gabrielle’s, starting days as a young trend setting woman. This version directed by Anne Fontaine, stars Audrey Tautou as the youthful Gabrielle. The lovely Audrey Tautou, previously of (personal favorite), Amelie, commits to the screen as the vibrant, ambitious, and romantic pioneer we have come to know as Coco.
Personally, I am pleased the dialogue is in French and that all actors are native speakers. Having the story of Chanel replayed by English or American actors would have felt perhaps less authentic. Let me know your thoughts!
I definitely feel that at SweetTalk we have ownership over all things intimate and girly.
On that note, HAVE YOU SEEN THE VICTORIA’S SECRET SHOW????
I think it needs no true introduction, and yet I cannot help but scream with joy about the harder edge the angels have this year…more earthy and casual and gritty. It lives in the same world as Polaroid pictures and Starlight Express.
The show was quite ethereal indeed click here for magicial pictures.
Love her or hate her, the fact is that Oprah Winfrey has been a staple of daytime television for the past 25 years. Through her causes, charities, triumphant topics, and controversial moments, she’s become a big part of so many of our lives, I wonder how this change is going to effect the population at large?
She’s recommended products and books, heck she even endorsed our current President — so it seems natural that her goodbye is a long one…on regular television. Read More »
