Confession Time: I just love the way bottled water tastes. However, it is not the convenience that encouraged me to pick plastic over our planet - it’s the subtle flavor of filtered water that to me is worlds above, water that comes straight from the tap. This flavor profile might not mean much to some, but filtered water enables me to get the eight to ten glasses I need each day to stay healthy. To feed this thirst, I have three filtered water pitchers ready in my refrigerator.  When I travel or I am away from home, I use to worry about the many bottles that were engorging my carbon footprint (and whittling down my wallet!) for such a superficial reason as taste.

While I was able to find a way to get my sparkling water fix under control with the SodaStream, I didn’t think anything could be done about my regular water when on the go, until I found out about the ECH20, the world’s only stainless steel bottle that includes its own portable filtration system.

You fill up the stainless steel ECH20 with regular tap water, screw the instant filter top on, and immediately drink through the attached straw. Instantly, it is everything you love about bottled water flavor-wise but with none of the icky BPAs or plastic waste.

There really is no excuse to not stop using bottled water entirely - its unique filtering top removes up to 99.99% of pollutants, and supposedly is so effective you could drink water from not just tap water but any water source except salt water, including streams, rivers, lakes, and pools. But don’t wait until disaster strikes to start using your ECH20! Seriously, think about how much money you spend on bottled water.
