Some of Leonardo da Vinci’s timeless works of art are making their way to L.A.’s Italian Culture Institute. The exhibition will also include video instillation by Bill Viola. For those art buffs out there, I think this is definitely an exhibition you might want to attend.
The showcase will include “The Angel in the Flesh”, dated from around 1515, along with two sketches from da Vinci’s “The Theatre Sheet”, which are a part of “The Mind of Leonardo”, an exhibition at the National Museum of Palazzo Venezia in Rome. Video instillation by Bill Viola includes slow motion imagery accompanied by an original sound score. Viola is scheduled to attend the Dec. 2 showing, along with author Carlo Pedretti, expert on da Vinci’s work and professor at UCLA. The exhibition runs Dec.2 -12.
