I know I’m getting ahead of myself, or am I? Thanksgiving is next Thursday and we all know what comes the day after, Black Friday!
I have to confess I’ve only done it once in my life, a couple of years ago. I was able to convince my sister to get up at 4 a.m. to try and hit as many stores as we could. That was crazy, we were freezing and so sleepy but I was on a mission and determined I was getting all my shopping done that day.
I haven’t done it since but only because I can’t find anyone who will get up that early to accompany me. Although, I’m wondering maybe enough time has passed where I call my sister.
Here is what you need to do: First put your Christmas list together. Next you get the newspaper the night before and look through all the store ad’s, check the web and make yourself a map. Be sure that you go first to the stores giving door prizes such as gift cards to the first 100 customers, etc. Look around for bargains but try to stick to your list. Don’t forget to buy your boxes, wrapping paper, ribbon, scotch tape. Wear tennis shoes, take lots of coffee and that should do it.
Follow these tips and I guarantee you can get all your shopping done in one day. Just think now you can spend the rest of the time doing the fun things such as decorating your home and preparing for Christmas dinner.
