Ah, the holidays: A time for family, friends, and extreme amounts of food. It’s no surprise then that most people gain about 8 - 10 pounds during the season.

I know I have to cling to all the healthy tricks in my book when every side table sports bowls of tempting nuts, cookies, and candies (especially fudge, dammit).
