Love her or hate her, the fact is that Oprah Winfrey has been a staple of daytime television for the past 25 years. Through her causes, charities, triumphant topics, and controversial moments, she’s become a big part of so many of our lives, I wonder how this change is going to effect the population at large?
She’s recommended products and books, heck she even endorsed our current President — so it seems natural that her goodbye is a long one…on regular television.
You see, Ms. O is just expanding her universe, again, and moving her show to her own cable network: OWN (a.k.a. the Oprah Winfrey Network). Her critics, of course, are blasting their retorts to her latest move all over the place, but I’m proud of her.
Hey, why shouldn’t she keep going? She’s one of the few people other there who at least tries to make a difference with their wealth and position, all the while never hiding the fact that falling on your face is perfectly natural. At least she admits it and moves on to bigger and better things.
Nonetheless, I do predict these next 18 months promise to be an interesting ride. Guess we better stay tuned…
