For some, the word Thanksgiving sends shivers down the spine. Thoughts of distant relatives coming from near and far, falling asleep all over the living room after their pie, but well before clean-up as the parade repeats for the 3rd time in the background.
For others there are school plays to attend with children dressed as stuffing or feasts of jello and kid friendly finger food to help serve. But some have heavy hearts knowing their loved ones might not make it to the next Thanksgiving, but give thanks for having them right now.
I have received hand signed cards from companies that thanked me for being their customer and emails from friends appreciating our new found friendship (even if we have never met in person).
No matter who or what you are thankful for this year, be sure to pay it forward. By making it a daily habit I guarantee you the world will be a better place and you will feel better for it.
So hang your handprint turkeys proud and appreciate the little things everyday. And what they heck, sit on the couch and watch the parade…the dishes will wait!
