It’s a Holiday Shop Off!

Throw open your closets, gals, the holiday party season has officially begun!

What? Nothing to wear? Nonsense I say, and with very good reason. There are bargains to be had, and new outfits to don, so awaken your inner stylist because the shop off is on!

All goofiness aside though, to get myself in the holiday spirit, I decided to resurrect something my girlfriends and I used to do in leaner financial times. It was our own take on those “holiday fashions for less” segments you always see on the news shows.

Though some of the ensembles were cute, I just either: A. Wouldn’t wear them or B. Couldn’t find them, since they lived in cities or at boutiques that were no where in my shopping sphere. So, my friends and I would browse each others closets and comb the malls piecing together wearable outfits for the best possible price.

Now I throw the challenge to you. No matter your budget, I double dog dare you to find something new to wear this holiday season.

Having the Internet sure helps a bunch and, if you like what you see in my post, you can get the red knit sweater ensemble for under $75 (as well as a killer deal on an additional sweater) by shopping at Arben B for the sweater and Alloy for the sequined leggings.

eveningscarfBudget a bit tighter? Don’t underestimate the fashion power of a beautiful velvet scarf (this green, sequined option retails at Etsy for $20) or an $18 cropped cardigan, like this one from Forever 21. Happy holiday hunting, I’d love to know what you find!
