One of my favorite things about the holidays is the fact that I get to dress up more than I normally do. The best part of it for me, really, is that I can also try out new makeup looks.

All the sparkle and gleam of the season enhances a woman’s beauty in such special ways you cannot help but feel positively “girly” no matter your age! I mean, how can your heart not skip a beat when you see what’s available at Sephora? Bare Escentuals Happiness — enough said.

I’m also a huge fan of M.A.C. Cosmetics — can you hear me screeching with glee over their 2009 Holiday Colour Collection?

Oh and if you’re like me and can use some makeup application tips and overall advice, you have got to check out Marlena, the Makeup Geek.

Her video tutorials are really amazing, and always help me achieve the makeup looks I really want. I’ve read alot of tips over the years, but Marlena not only gives you tips, she actually shows you how to do them.

Enough of the love fest already, I’m running late! Time to create a holiday face with Marlena, and some shimmer, glitter, and gloss.
