Early this morning nominations were read aloud for 2010′s Golden Globe extravaganza. Justin Timberlake, the most appropriate choice, announced the nominees at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. HBO, with 17 awards, received the most nominations than any other TV station. (But I mean, it’s not really TV, it’s a category in itself). Other nominees included George Clooney for best actor in Up in the Air along with Avatar, produced and directed by James Cameron. Dexter, which just finished its 4th season, received multiple nominations including those for Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow.
It’s almost that time. Beautiful people in beautiful dresses and suites… walking down a red carpet smiling and waving at the cameras… while applauding their colleagues for their talent. What a fun and bizarre event to look forward to! But, I will admit, that I do always watch and root for my favorites. It’s fun to watch celebrities interact and I can’t help wondering what it would be like to fill their shoes; live in the limelight.
Mark your calendars- the ceremony will air on NBC January 17, 8EST, 5PCT
