Well tonight is the night….The two hour premier of American Idol. This is Idols ninth season, and the last for Simon Cowell. Rumor has it all over the internet Simon’s replacement could be Howard Stern. Last week it was Jamie Foxx and the week before that it was Tommy Mottola. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

This will be Ellen’s debut. I love Ellen DeGeneris so I am looking forward to seeing what she brings to the show. Ellen said on her show that Simon Cowell is meaner that she thought. It will be interesting to see how it will unfold.

This will be the first of three Hollywood Week rounds with the pressure building to the big reveal of the season’s Top 24 Idol contestants. So be ready tonight when the episode airs from 8-9pm (ET/PT).
