Long hair may seem simple to grow, but you may discover hair has a natural length that is genetically determined based on the growth cycle of follicles, and shape of the hair shaft.
Growing long hair is difficult but not impossible. The best method for growing long hair is by having lots and lots of patience. Hair grows an average of six inches per year, so in order to get waist-length hair it can take from four to seven years even with assiduous care. Treating the hair properly inside and out is critical for healthy hair. As hair gets longer, dull, limp strands are more noticeable than if you had short hair.
To begin growing out your hair, the hair must first be healthy. I know it’s frustrating for me when every time I visit my salon they snip the couple of inches I just grew out. One of London’s leading stylists, Michael Van Clarke, is hoping to remedy this with his new product line, 3 more inches (3MI). A haircare system as he describes designed to decrease hair’s aging process (those thinning ends) and thereby increase its length and thickness.
