It appears Lindsay Lohan’s ongoing drug problems have given country sweetheart Taylor Swift her big movie break. Lohan had been projected to star in “One Night with You” but filmmakers have now considered go give the role to Swift. It’s the second major role Lohan has lost this year in April she was dropped from new movie “The Other Side”.
Writer/Producer Richard O’Sullivan had actually talked to Swift’s agent a few months back about replacing Lohan, but Taylor was in the middle of her tour. Now with Lohan’s ongoing legal battles, they have taken the offer back to Taylor.
O’Sullivan initially offered Lohan the lead role after he wrote it with her in mind. It’s been reported O’Sullivan has said, ‘It is ready-made for Lindsay… but we’re proceeding with extreme caution while the Lohan family sorts through their issues during a very trying time.’
The romantic comedy is about a young actress who joins a reality dating show in an attempt to salvage her career. But, as in most romantic comedies, things go awry when she becomes involved in a love/hate relationship with a handsome young bartender who hates the celebrity lifestyle.
Lohan, meanwhile, is still onboard to star in the Linda Lovelace biopic “Inferno”, despite repeated delays in filming caused by the actress’ ongoing issues.
It truly is a shame that Lohan is not able to get her act together. She has served two jail stints, the latest a 10 hour stint last Friday. I suppose the first step to recovery is that she admits she has a problem, which has done recently. Let’s hope she acts on it and finally get the help that she desperately needs.
Not sure how to react to what I just heard about the latest craze in Europe being high heels for men .I tried to picture in my head what type of man, would wear heels and I just couldn’t come up with any.
Then I saw Russell Brand on TV promoting his new movie “Get Him to The Greek”, and what do you know? He was wearing high heeled shoes. There it was the perfect fit and he actually didn’t look as ridiculous as I would have imagined.
Still… I don’t know, the Ted Nugent type maybe to manly for my taste, but I couldn’t picture myself walking next to my boyfriend in heels, it just wouldn’t work for me.
I never thought I’d turn into my mother. What do you thnk, high heels for men, in or out?
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been a fan of Jennifer Lopez for quite some time.
Though I know she’s had her career ups and downs, there’s something about her that I find watchable–and I suspect I’m not the only one.
This being the case, it’s with a bit of excitement I anticipate her new movie: The Back-up Plan.
Oh sure, the film appears to be another romantic comedy with the quintessential formulaic fairytale ending, but it’s just the type of mental fluff I’m craving as of late. Read More »
Like many women I know, I grew up loving romance films. I loved the comedies, the dramas, and the eccentric teen crush scenarios. Funny how, many of those stories don’t seem to translate to reality. (Surprise, surprise.)
Have you ever opened up a Cosmo Girl or Women’s Health Magazine and read over 20 “how to get over the heartbreak”, or “how to keep him from cheating” articles? I wonder, do these articles help women? I reason that it is much more pleasurable to pay $12.00 to see a romantic comedy with a happy ending than a realistic, complicated perspective on a story that does not end happily for both parties. Perhaps seeing pretty people make-out to a ballad gives us hope that we can too achieve cinematic magic in our own lives. Teenage wishing?
The first 4 months seem to be perfect. You’re still getting to know each other and the mystery keeps you intrigued. How does the magic exceed those four months? Do the grocery store aisle magazines speak the truth about men and relationships?
Just of few thoughts I’ve been contemplating recently… opinions??
