<p><strong><em>by Amanda Paige</em></strong></p>
<p>So what makes a marriage in Hollywood last?  I thought Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt would be the perfect couple.   Maybe my <a title="Brad Pitt and pot!?" href="http://www.tmz.com/2009/08/16/brad-pitt-pot-weed-bill-haher-hbo/" target="_blank">new finding</a> is what broke up their marriage and here I thought it had something to do with her not wanting kids yet!?  Sometimes when you skip the actual wedding part, you find a couple that lasts and lasts like <a title="Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell" href="http://www.theinsider.com/news/658801_Kurt_Goldie_After_25_Years_Still_In_Love" target="_blank">Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell</a> however, she did have 2 seemingly un-successful marriages to get to that point, but the bright side is she has Oliver and Kate to show for it.</p>
<p>And reality TV, well that never seems to help.  MTV&#8217;s show &#8220;<a title="Newlyweds" href="http://www.mtv.com/shows/newlyweds-nick_and_jessica/series.jhtml" target="_blank">Newlyweds</a>&#8221; helped Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson&#8217;s marriage end in divorce, I guess what <a title="Nick Lachey break-up" href="http://www.theinsider.com/news/2501220_Nick_Lachey_and_Vanessa_Minnillo_Break_Up" target="_blank">goes around comes back around</a> for him.  Not exactly celebrities, but Jon and Kate Gosselin&#8217;s marriage was probably rocky from the start, so goes the demise of &#8220;<a title="Jon and Kate Plus 8" href="http://tlc.discovery.com/tv/jon-and-kate/jon-and-kate.html" target="_blank">Jon and Kate Plus 8</a>&#8220;.</p>
<p>And how many of the Hollywood marriages do you think stay together for the kids?  Or maybe have kids to keep the marriage/relationship together&#8230;ummm <a title="Brangelina" href="http://www.stuff.co.nz/sunday-news/entertainment/2814790/Brangelina-gone-to-pot" target="_blank">Brangelina</a>, jmo.</p>
<p>What is the key to keeping it together?  Maybe the key is there is no key!?  I think we have a lot we can learn from our grandparents, you know, the ones that are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year.  Let&#8217;s ask <a title="Jen and Ben" href="http://justjared.buzznet.com/2009/05/08/jennifer-garner-ben-affleck-family-friday/" target="_blank">Jen and Ben</a>, maybe they have already had that talk.</p>
