It doesn’t seem to bother women to pay for pain, ie. getting a brazilian, but how much would you pay to ease your pain? Anesthesiologist and BareEase developer Dr. Edna Ma bets that $24.99 will make you happy. Her one time use kit provides how to instructions and latex panties to hold the numbing cream in place, so you can apply and discreetly head off to your favorite esthetician after work or maybe even on your lunch break!
According to Dr. Ma “The BareEase & Cream Prep Kit is the first and only garment-based numbing system for use as an ouchless pre-treatment step for bikini hair removal. Unlike any other system, the kit includes a numbing cream, in addition to a latex panty that acts as an occlusive dressing to isolate the cream for better and more effective absorption. This innovative combination of garment and medication is designed to make hair removal treatment an ouchless, safe and convenient experience.”
To find out more or order this kit, check out her website at BareEase.com. Now that should make for a more fun summer!

One of the most traumatic experiences I had when moving from Los Angeles to Middle Tennessee was leaving Liz, my esthetician and waxing goddess. I’m not kidding, and, apparently, I’m also not alone.
On Regis and Kelly this morning, Regis mentioned an article (I didn’t catch where it was from, sorry) in one of the New York papers about the very serious relationship a woman has with the person who waxes her. Kelly concurred for several of the reasons that ring true for me, and most other women–I would think.
Here at SweetTalk, we’ve talked about the funny and scary experiences anyone can have on the waxing table. But, I don’t know that we’ve ever touched on the relationship between a woman and her “waxer”. Read More »

Warm weather clothing that dares to bare all;
Short skirts and bikinis take over the mall;
‘Tis the season for grooming to kick into high gear;
With my SweetSpot wipettes, I face heat without fear.
In my purse, glove box, and in my backpack;
Like a Girl Scout, prepared to get sweetness back;
From waxing to exercise, I’m refreshed and rebalanced;
Praising SweetSpot Labs for their “escentual” talents.
PS. I got waxed today and was beyond grateful for my on-the-go wipettes, both before and after: Can you tell?

Residents of Manhattan Beach, CA have a beauty hot spot we’re excited to share with you — the Dinah Alcon Skin Care Studio.
Dinah Alcon’s prestigious skin care career includes working with Dr. Howard Murad, as a member of the Murad team, during the development and testing phase of his product lines. She also boasts 15 years of advanced training with Dermalogica, Murad, the International Dermal Institute, and Epicuren.
Dinah’s clients enjoy a menu of European-style, results-oriented skin care and waxing services, in her relaxing and intimate studio.
Also for the first time, and since Dinah believes beauty radiates from within too, she’s partnering with Yoga Loft (also in Manhattan Beach) for these upcoming yoga events: Sunday, February 21 (Beginner) & February 28 (Level 2/3 Flow).
Attendees get to experience the revitalizing benefits of Yoga, as well as enjoy special skin care offers and goodie bags (which we’ve heard include a SweetSpot Labs product)!
These special events are being held on a reservation/first come, first served basis and, at the time of this posting, the February 21 class is full.
Those interested in signing up for the February 28th class, as well as future classes, and/or who would like to schedule their skin care and wax treatments should contact Dinah directly by calling 310-529-6838 or sending her an email today.
It looks to us like the forecast in Manhattan Beach just got more beautiful!
